Why choose Redbus?

Redbus Interhouse

Redbus Interhouse was incorporated in July 1998. It commenced development of its first UK colocation data centre in Docklands, London, in January 1999 which became live for operation in July 1999 and was quickly followed by the development of a European colocation data centre in Paris in August 1999, ready for operation in January 2000.

In December 1999, Redbus Interhouse became the first colocation company to be accredited as a LINX (London Internet Exchange) Advanced Expansion Site. Since this time, LINX has expanded further with Redbus Interhouse and now operates from two of the three London colocation data centres. The move to Redbus Interhouses Dockland colocation data centres provides the necessary capacity and more peering options to LINX members and it testament to Redbus's quality of service.

In March 2000, Redbus listed its shares on the London Stock Exchange through a reverse takeover of Horace Small Apparel, a shell company that had disposed of its trading operations. As part of the takeover, Redbus Interhouse raised £20.4m by means of a Placing and Open Offer of new shares to investors. In September 2000 a further £82m was raised through another Placing and Open Offer to fund Redbus's development programme.

Today Redbus Interhouse operates seven European colocation data centres providing a secure data centre environment and a full range of managed solutions to meet businesses mission critical security needs.

The management team and financial strength of Redbus Interhouse speak volumes about the company and its business proposition. Turnover for the year ended 31 December 2004 was up 17% over the previous year. This continued sales success combined with a substantial cash balance means Redbus Interhouse will maintain a leading position within the colocation market.
